Travelers using US 101 between Forks and Hoquiam should plan for significant delays and detours due to emergency repairs on the Hoh River Bridge.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has announced scheduled closures of the US 101 Hoh River Bridge, south of Forks, for emergency repairs.

Overnight Closures
September 14–22 | 10:30 PM–5:30 AM nightly

Extended Closures
• September 24 at 5:00 AM–September 29 at 5:00 PM
• October 1 at 5:00 AM–October 6 at 12:00 PM
• October 8 at 5:00 AM–October 13 at 12:00 PM

During these closures, the bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic. There is no local detour across the Hoh River, and travelers needing to cross between the northern and southern portions of the Olympic Peninsula will need to take an extended alternate route around the peninsula.

This may affect guests traveling between Forks, Hoh Rain Forest, Lake Crescent and other destinations to the north and Lake Quinault, Kalaloch, Ruby Beach and destinations to the south.

Outside of the scheduled closures, travelers should also expect one-lane alternating traffic and a reduced speed limit at the bridge.
