Year-Round Camping at Lake Quinault

Lake Quinault RV & Campground offers three unique camping locations. Each campground is situated along the beautiful shoreline of pristine, glacier-fed Quinault Lake. While staying at our campgrounds, sign up for one (or all) of our Quinault Lake tours, our rainforest tour, or simply relax and take in our huge old-growth trees. The Olympic forest features 15 miles of hiking trails and many waterfalls within walking distance of Lake Quinault RV & Campground.

Willaby Campground

Operating Season:

Willaby Campground is located on the south shore of Lake Quinault in our beautiful temperate rainforest. Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, Western Hemlock, and Western Red Cedar trees provide dense shade for this beautiful setting. The forested slopes of the Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across the Quinault Lake.

Overview

  • 21 campsites - accommodates tents, trailers, and RVs up to 16 feet in length, however no hook ups are provided.
  • Some sites are in wooded areas.
  • Many sites have a view of Lake Quinault.
  • Campground has potable water system.
  • Campground has a barrier-free flush toilet.
  • Boat ramp for non-motorized boats.
  • Bears and other animals frequent the area; use appropriate food storage containers.
  • Campers must register at Lake Quinault Lodge front desk, approximately 1 mile from the campground.
  • Off-road vehicles are prohibited in campground
  • Limit of two pets per site; pets are not allowed on the beaches.
  • Bundled firewood and ice are available for purchase at Lake Quinault Lodge.

Rates

  • Prices range from $20.00 to $25.00 per night per site.
  • Extra vehicle costs of $7.00 per night is charged accordingly.

Falls Creek Campground

Operating Season:

  • Open Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend

Falls Creek Campground is located on the south shore of Quinault Lake next to Falls Creek, a crystal clear stream, in the temperate rainforest. A canopy of lush, big-leaf maple hangs over the campground. Rainforest plants provide a scenic setting for a relaxing camp. The forested slopes of the Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across Quinault Lake. The camp is located adjacent to historic Lake Quinault Lodge.

Overview

  • 31 campsites that can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 16 feet in length, however no hook ups are provided.
  • Picnic tables and fire pits are provided.
  • Bundled firewood and ice are available for purchase at Lake Quinault Lodge
  • Some sites are in wooded areas and others are not.
  • Many sites have a view of the lake.
  • Campground has potable water system.
  • Campground has a barrier-free flush toilet.
  • Four day-use picnic sites are located along the shoreline and a large covered shelter.
  • Boat ramp available for non-motorized boats.
  • Quinault Rain Forest Nature Trail and the Quinault National Recreation Trail System are nearby.

Gatton Creek Campground

Operating Season:

  • Open early June until Labor Day Weekend


Gatton Creek Campground is located on the south shore of Quinault Lake next to Gatton Creek, a small rainforest stream. From this campground you can access Gatton Creek Trailhead (#888). The lakeside campsites are situated just inside the hardwood forest canopy, which helps provide shelter on warm or windy days. The picnic area is located at the mouth of Gatton Creek and has views of Upper Quinault Valley and Colonel Bob Wilderness. A small wetland between the campground and picnic area provides excellent opportunities to view birds and other waterfowl.

  • 5 walk-in tent-only campsites.
  • Paved parking area can be utilized for up to 10 self-contained RVs.
  • 3 day-use picnic units.
  • Swimming and use of non-motorized boats allowed in lake.
  • Single vault toilet available.
  • Potable water not provided.
  • Bundled firewood and ice are available for purchase at [Lake Quinault Lodge].

Rates

  • Overnight camping fee is $12.00 for all walk-in tent sites and parking for RV sites

Booking: Gatton Creek campsites are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis upon arrival at Lake Quinault Lodge. Payment is due at the time of check-in.
