Lake Quinault Lodge
Fishing
The waters just outside our front door are rich with a variety of fish including steelhead, salmon and trout. Fishing in Lake Quinault for trout is permitted during the summer months only. Fishing for salmon in the lake is not permitted but if you would like to fish the lower Quinault River for salmon, Lodge front desk staff can provide information about local guide services, tribal and non-tribal. Fishing trips can be customized to meet your needs. Bait and other fishing supplies are available at the nearby General stores. Since this area includes both U.S. Forest Service and Tribal lands, be sure to inquire about regulations and license requirements. Box lunches ordered the night before are available for early-morning pick-up at the front desk.
Boat rentals are available May through September every day from 9am to 4pm, weather permitting. All boats must be back by 5pm.

Fishing
Lake Crescent is known for its one-of-kind Beardsley Trout, identified by its unusual head that takes up 1/3 of its body. The lake has become a strictly catch and release for the past few years in hopes of bringing back the native Beardsley and Crescenti Trout populations. A limited supply of fishing equipment is available at the lodge, but guests are welcome to bring their own rod, reel and wading gear, as the lake is renowned for its fly fishing.

Boating
Explore the beautiful glacier-carved Lake Crescent with a rowboat rental from Lake Crescent Lodge. You can fish, have a picnic lunch or just drift with the breeze and bask in the warm sunshine. The lake is known for its crystal clear water that's over 600 feet deep in parts. Many private residents who live around the lake still get their drinking water directly from the lake.
